Sarkar box office collection day 3: Vijay film is a blockbuster

Amidst all the protests and controversies, Vijay's Sarkar is still managing to run with packed houses in theatres. Trade analysts predict that all the problems surrounding the film will increase the publicity and it might do better in coming days.
According to reports, the film has collected about Rs 1. 28 crore on its third day in Chennai city alone. So, far in the capital city, the film has raked in about 5.97 crore.
In the first two days, the film touched Rs 100-crore mark and has surpassed the record of Baahubali 2 in Tamil Nadu.
Despite mixed reviews, the film is expected to pick up momentum in the next two days and set several other records.
Starring Vijay in the lead role, Sarkar is directed by AR Murugadoss. The political thriller also has Varalaxmi, Keerthy Suresh, Pala Karuppiah and Radha Ravi in lead roles.
Sarkar is currently in trouble as the ruling party AIADMK is protesting against the movie. They claim that the film is depicting their part and late CM J Jayalalithaa in a bad light.
A few shows were stopped in Madurai. Now, AR Murugaodss has sought anticipatory bail, according to reports.
