Thalapathy Vijay was last seen on silver screens, playing a suave and classy hero venturing into politics in the Murugadoss directed political entertainer Sarkar that was released on Diwali and went on to become one of the biggest openers of the actor and reiterated his box office stamina.

The actor is all set to join hands with Atlee, who had earlier given him blockbuster movies Theri and Mersal, for the third time for an untitled flick with sports backdrop, and this movie which will have music by AR Rahman and also star lady Superstar Nayanthara, Kathir, Vivek is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment will begin rolling from January 21.

Even as the actor is gearing up for his role in his next, the latest sensational news is that Thalapathy Vijay had enjoyed watched the latest Kannada blockbuster KGF's Tamil version in a private screening in Chennai, and went on to appreciate the grand making and the performances of actors. He had reportedly expressed that he had always wanted to watch the movie since the day of release, and finally watched it now. KGF  directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Yash was released in Tamil by Vishal, and the movie has already grossed more than 200 crores worldwide.
