THERI'S ICONIC SCENE TO BE RECREATED IN THALAPATHY 63 WITH THE SAME SETUP?

Director Atlee is on a hat trick directing Thalapathy Vijay for Vijay 63. Earlier on, he had called the shots for Theri and Mersal with Vijay. Vijay 63 is yet to get its title but the film started rolling from last month in Chennai. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Vijay 63 has a plethora of stars to entertain us. Nayanthara plays the love interest of Vijay and there is also Kathir, fresh from the success of Pariyerum Perumal. Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj and Daniel Balaji are also a part of the star cast.

We had been reporting to you the updates on the film on a constant basis. The latest one is that the unit is shooting in Prasad Labs, Chennai since Monday at a magnificently erected set which resembles the iconic Napier Bridge of Chennai. One can recall that same Napier Bridge featured in Altee-Vijay’s first film Theri in the pre-interval block, where Vijay had hung the criminal upside down and showed it to his deputy Mottai Rajendran. Apparently, the current shoot is being held with tight security as the team does not want any footage leaked. However, certain pictures from the shooting spot have come out which shows the erected set of the Napier bridge, surrounded by green matte on the sides. The background will be recreated through visual effects.
In the previous schedule, the unit shot at the sets in Binny Mills where some action sequences and intro song sequence were canned. Now they have shifted to Prasad Labs. As reported earlier, Vijay 63 is said to be a premise on football and the character that he plays is called Michael. It is also said that he is a resident of North Chennai and that his house is one of the hugest in the area which is called Samadhanapuram.  AR Rahman scores music for Vijay 63 in which Poovaiyar Kapees from Super Singer Junior Season 6 will be singing and dancing with Vijay, perhaps in the intro scene.
